Abel Matutes Juan (* 31 October 1941 on Ibiza) is a Spanish entrepreneur and politician (PP).

It was a 1970 mayor von Ibiza City, Aussenminister, EU-Kommissar, Vize-Vorsitzender ibizenker employers' association of the tourism industry.

Today it is member in the supervisory board of the TUI. Its company, the Grupo Empresas Matutes, holds since 2004 portions of the TUI.

Matutes is owners the Fiesta and palladium group of hotels, at the shipping company takes part, possesses on Ibiza the Discotheken Privilege (at present largest Discothek of the world) and space, some real estates, hotel as well as the largest building firm of the island. It has very much power and influence on Ibiza, why it is called of many also "“godfather of Ibiza"”.

Matutes is married and has four children.
