The administrative professional school Hessen (VFH) or administrative professional school Wiesbaden is a professional school for public administration in Hessen.

To the VFH candidates for the elevated service are trained in the specialist areas police and general administration. The VFH offers here only an internal study, i.e. can only study here, who is trained with a body, a donation or an institute of the public right.

Study

The study takes three years and takes place in blocks of in each case four months. The first two study sections (basic study 1 and 2) are because of the beginning of the training. Whereupon a four-month "“practical study"” follows in the training authority. In the consequence practical course and study always lie in the change of in each case four months. After end of the basic study 3 the intermediate test follows. If the candidate should not exist this intermediate test, then he receives the possibility of proving during a repeat inspection the suitability. Even if it falls through here, then his serving and/or training relationship is terminated. After the intermediate test the main study follows after a practical course.

After existence of the career examination and delivery of the thesis (diploma) the training as the diploma administrative landlord is terminated. The assumption as supervisor or administration secretaries at the training authority follows, if places are present.

Training can take place both in the official relationship on revocation and in the employee relationship.

Apart from this course of studies meanwhile also different structure courses of studies are offered. In co-operation with the university Kassel is offered even a master course of studies.

Departments

The VFH has its center in the hessian state capital Wiesbaden. Departments of exist in pouring, Kassel and in to Main.Die departments of Darmstadt and Frankfurt/Main to 1 June 2005 in the course of the savings program of the hessian federal state government were closed and on and Wiesbaden distributed.
