Serious Adolf Gustav Gottfried of (* 28. June 1853 in new Autz/Kurland; "† 10 January 1925) was a German internalist. He was the son of the philosopher Ludwig von (1812-1899).

Together with Vladimir Bechterew and Marie he described the disease Bechterew for the first time.

Its text book of the speciellen pathology and therapy of the internal diseases (Leipzig 1883-1884, 2 Bde.) appeared in more than 30 editions and into several languages were translated.
