Adolphe Blanqui [] (B. l' (* 1798 in Nice; " 28 January 1854 in Paris) was a French political economist.
He was son of the convention member Jean Dominique Blanqui and brother of the communist Louis Augusts Blanqui. Blanqui studied in of Paris philology and political economy. On recommendation of the political economist Jean Baptiste Say, whose direction belonged to Blanqui, it became 1825 professor at the professional school to Paris and 1830 director the same. 1833 he was appointed the professor at the Conservatoire kind et 1838 the member of the academy of the moral and political sciences and sent from the same to Korsika, 1839 to Algeria, in order to study the needs of these countries, their conditions it with frankness lit up. The results of its journeys processed Blanqui in several works ( expanded since many countries of Europe, sur l' social population de la Turquie d'Europe, Paris 1843; German, Magdeburg 1846, among other things). It died 1854.
Its Hauptwerk is the Histoire de l' politique EN Europe (Paris 1838, 2 Bde. ; 4. Aufl. 1860; German, Karlsruhe 1840-41, ISBN 2-05-100192-8).
