The aero Flight GmbH & CO. Air traffic kg was a German airline with seat, existing from 2003 to 2005, in Oberursel (Taunus).

Aero Flight had been created after the insolvency by aero Lloyd at the end of 2003 and 300 coworkers had taken over. Founders of the aero Flight were Bogomir Gradisnik, Miso Aksmanovic and Gerhard walter.

The aero Flight accomplished charter, line and special flights. The emphasis was thereby on that to so-called "„ethnical traffic "“(technical term in the tourism): A third of the passengers immigrant workers with their families, which flew with the airline to their homeland, were round.

In July 2005 aero Flight airline partner of the member of the soccer federal league unity Frankfurt was and had one the A320 (characteristic: D-ARFE) in the colors of Frankfurt paints.

On 31 October 2005 the Federal Office of Aviation communicated that the operation permit for aero Flight was not extended for the time being. As reason economic reasons were indicated: Aero Flight did not prove the necessary legal conditions. Thus the airline was not allowed to carry aircraft passengers, post office or freight starting from 1 November 2005 more. Assumption negotiations with the Investmentfirma CS Ltd. and the Icelandic Avion Group failed for the time being. On 25 November aero Flight placed an insolvency request with the district court bath Homburg.

Insolvency

The aero Flight had for the enterprise of the winter flight plan no sufficient capital means more. The Federal Office of Aviation had come with the examination of financial conditions to the conclusion that a renewed operation permit without the subsidy of further financial means be granted could not. The Investmentfirma CS Ltd. under the direction of Victor Tsopa (Vice President air Moldova, before times transport ministers of Moldavia) appeared in October surprisingly as a new investor. It seemed first, as if the company thereby was saved. However it turned out that Mr. Tsopa had no financial means and was not despite efforts able to contribute appropriate moneys. By the public announcements to change and in the future only airplanes lease the business model of the airline, the aero Flight in the consequence the complete winter flight business broke Mr. Tsopas away. The contract with Mr. Tsopa was made by the old partners of the aero Flight after three weeks again and a new investor, the Icelandic Avion Group came into the discussion. The assumption negotiations with the Avion Group failed however for lack of punctual promise of an individual partner of the aero Flight. Other investors were not financially strong enough and/or not ready to invest into the airline.

According to an internal letter on the part of the management the aero Flight the events is regarded approximately around Mr. Victor Tsopa as main causes of the insolvency.

The reports in the press, of the insolvency would be 300 coworkers concerned are correct not completely. The aero Flight had only few own coworkers. All other coworkers were employed at another society, which had leased the personnel to the aero Flight. Also this personnel leasing company placed an insolvency request.

Assumption by Avion Group

The Icelandic Avion Group takes over the insolvent aero Flight under new AOC and plans the flying operation in the summer 2006 under the name StarXL again to take up.
