The agenda (GO) of a committee is the summary of all process controls, after which meetings have to run off and meetings of this committee. It can be a component of a statute, however it in the course of the establishment by resolution of the entitled ones is usually determined.

Always a written agenda does not exist: Rather already since long time as customary law are practiced to usually certain procedures and are generally recognized as valid guidelines.

Also the most detailed agenda will be capable not all eventualities of regulating: Even the German Bundestag, which has a very detailed written agenda, sees itself again and again compelled to regulate single affairs again.

The aforementioned agenda of the German federal daily is regularly consulted particularly in political committees, if for this committee no special agenda exists or does not regulate a matter of procedure.

Request for agenda

The request for agenda (English POINT OF order) plays a very important role in meetings of all kinds. It is to be treated with priority to all questions of substance and can on the kind and the topic of the adoption of resolutions a very large importance have.

The Versammlungsleiter must give the word to the applicant, so that this can justify its request. In the connection it is usually asked whether meeting participants want to give a counter declaration. Only one counter declaration is permitted. This can also formally take place (i.e. it does not take place a counter declaration, it is only expressed that at all someone rejects the request). If no counter declaration takes place, some agendas plan for efficiency reasons that the request without tuning can be rated as accepted. If a counter declaration takes place or if the agenda a tuning in each case plans, on the request one co-ordinates. Whether the request is accepted, decides the simple majority of the resolutionable meeting. With equality of votes the request is rejected.

Above all tuning modalities and items on the agenda are treated by a request for agenda (GO). Special meaning can receive this on Party Congresses or in the parliament, if by change linear path also the question of substance is affected at the same time.

Requests for agenda are usually indicated to the Versammlungsleiter by lifting both arms.

Characteristics:

, If a tuning begins, i.e. the discussion to the special request by the meeting line was only locked, then no further word message ("“prohibition of the word message during a tuning"”) may take place, also no request to the GO.

If the tuning and/or the request should prove for tuning as incorrect, then a word message can take place to the GO after the tuning, in order to correct the defectiveness.

The word message represents a request, i.e. the meeting line decides on everyone this kind of the requests. In other words: nobody may seize the word in a meeting automatically, because otherwise a normal operational sequence is no longer given to the meeting.

A procedure against the frequent abuse from procedural motions to the influencing control on the request sequence is the Alex Mueller procedure.
