The air traffic law (LuftVG) is the basis for the aviation legislation in Germany. It contains regulations to the following ranges of topics:

  • First section
    • Aircraft and aviation personnel
    • Airfields
    • Aviation enterprise and - meetings
    • Traffic regulations
    • Airport coordination, air traffic control and flight weather service
    • Premature possession briefing and expropriation
    • Common regulations
  • Second section
    • Adhesion for persons and things, who are not carried in the aircraft
    • Adhesion for persons and luggage, who are carried in the aircraft; Adhesion for late transport
    • Further adhesion questions, among other things also for military aircraft

    • Punishing and legal regulations covering fines

    • Aviation files (aircraft register, air sport equipment list)
