The ALADI Latinoamericana de = Latin American integration combination) was created 1980. She was right successor of the ALALC Latinoamericana de Libre Comercio). The Rio group, a panel for all ALADI countries, became the political speaker of Latin America.

Seat

The ALADI has its seat in Montevideo.

Member states

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, since 1999 also Cuba.

Goals

  • Promotion of the trade for the creation of a Common Market
  • regional preferences
  • Market opening for member states without principle of mutuality
  • multilateral association models
