Alain Bombard (* 27 October 1924 in Paris; " 19 July 2005 in Toulon) was a French physician, biologist and an environmental politician. Bombard became above all admits by its medical investigations the possibility surviving shipwrecked ones into the 1950er years, which are partly based on spectacular self attempts. In July 1952 segelte Bombard of Cran Canaria in 65 days over the Atlantic to carry allegedly without fresh water and food. On the way it nourished only of sea water and fish, maintained themselves Bombard. Its self attempt was disproved meanwhile by the science as impossible. Likewise there is proof that Bombard on the Atlantic was supplied secretly with food.
