Albert Friedrich Veiel, since 1857 of Veiel, (* 8. June 1806 in Ludwigsburg, "† 2. August 1874 in place) be a German physician and dermatologist, advice and medical officer.

Life

Veiel was the son of the city minister and Dekans from Vaihingen the Enz George Friedrich (of) Veiel.

Veiel studied medicine at the University of as well as the University of Paris and attained a doctorate 1829 with the work "“over unsatisfactory formation of the extremities. An attempt in pathological anatomy."”

1837 created Veiel in CAN place the "“mental hospital for lichen patient"”, which is considered as the first skin hospital of Germany.

In the following years it acquired outstanding healing results by its a call excellent for itself and its mechanism. Among the many of its mental hospital were also members of the European high aristocracy as well as numerous prominent ones from politics and culture.
