Alfonso Caycedo (* 19 November 1932 in Spanish psychiatrist and founder of the Sophrologie.

In Colombia as a son of Spanish parents of baskischen origin born completed Caycedo its school time there and studied then medicine in Madrid, Spain and specialized in the subjects neurology and psychiatry. It concerned itself with the medical use of Hypnose, met with Ludwig Binswanger and justified around 1960, at that time professor for psychiatry at the faculty for medicine in Barcelona and director of the psychosomatischen department of the university clinic Barcelona the Sophrologie, a relaxation technology, with whose assistance purposefully after own need with consciousness was to be worked.
