Alfred William man (* 1. July 1801 in Zschortau with Leipzig; "† 21 April 1877 in resounds (Saale)) was a German physiologist. Alfred William people man is the father of the surgeon Richard of people man (1830-1889).

People man visited the prince school pc. Afra in Meissen. Starting from 1821 it studied medicine at the University of Leipzig and 1826 to the Dr. med. was attained a doctorate there. 1828 followed the Habilatation, likewise in Leipzig.

1834 he became extra full professor for Zootomie, 1837 professor for physiology, pathology and semiotic at the University of Dorpat. 1843 it left Dorpat again and it after a time as a private lecturer in resounds 1844 to the tidy professor for pathology and physiology at the university resounds appointed.
