Aluminium-Dschasira (, English aluminium Jazeera written; translated "„the island"” or "„the Arab peninsula"”) is an Arab news station with seat in Qatar.

History, work and effect

The transmitter started at the end of of 1996, whereby it profited from the fact that in April 1996 the Arab community transmitter of the BBC and the Saudi medium company orbit stopped the transmit mode because of demands for censorship of the Saudi government.
