Amstel is a beer mark of the Amstel brewery (Amstelbrouwerij), which was brewed for the first time to the Mauritskade in Amsterdam (the Netherlands).
The brewery was created 1870 in Amsterdam and designated after the river Amstel, whose water served first for the cooling. 1872 brewed the Amstel brewery already annually 10.000hektoliter Pils. The organization of the front was implemented by the Netherlands sculptor Gerarda Rueter.
