Augustin Morel (* 22 November 1809 in Vienna, "† 30. March 1873 in Saint Yon) was a French psychiatrist.

Inspired by Charles Darwins work Morel 1859 its degeneration theory formulated. Morels term of the "“degeneration"” rose thereby from no purely medical, but decreased/went back to religious anthropologische conceptions.
