Bernhard of Gudden (* 7. June 1824 in Kleve; "† 13 June 1886 in the Starnberger lake with lock mountain) was a German physician.

Life

Bernhard von Gudden was a first director of the 1870 opened psychiatric institute in Zurich.

Dr. von Gudden is one of the prominent psychiatrists of the before Freud time and plays a substantial role with the joggle king of Ludwig II. of Bavaria. He finds with this death in the Starnberger lake approximately at the same time, whereby the closer circumstances are accordingly controversially discussed.

He was raised into the personal (not-leavable) nobility and led the titles of royal Obermedizinalrat and professor of the University of, director of the circle lunatic asylum Munich. Its grave is today received on the resident of Munich east cemetery to.
