Busicom was a Japanese manufacturer of mechanical and electronic calculators. The enterprise was one of many international applicants in straight rising business with these part-mechanical computers. Around the year 1970 Intel of two trailblazing concepts for electronic computers in co-operation with MOSTEK and, which have to today existence, developed. MOSTEK was assigned the draft and the manufacturing of a "single chip" of circuit, which e.g. made then the building possible of the first commercial pocket calculator (Busicom mobile phone LE-120A). Intel became at the same time with the development of a complex however flexible chip set for calculating machines assigns - the 4004 (beside some other chips, like e.g. Rome for the storage of the machine code) was born. In the year 1973 Busicom went due to the enormous rising costses through the ever more numerous competition into the bankruptcy - Intel had briefly before redeemed itself the patent laws at the first CCU. The label name "Busicom" is further used by the former English selling partner.
