Carl Ferdinand Cori (* 5 December 1896, in Prague, "† 20 October 1984, in Cambridge (Massachusetts), the USA) was a physician and physiologist. After its study it was active as an assistant of Otto Loewi at the University of Vienna and also in Graz. 1922 he emigrated into the USA, where he worked in pc. Louis and inBoston.

For the discovery of the process of the catalytic Glykogen metabolism kept it, his Mrs. Gerty Cori and Bernardo Alberto Houssay in the year 1947 common to the Nobelpreis for medicine.
