Carl Harko of Noorden (* 13 September 1858 in Bonn, " 26 October 1944 in Vienna) was a German internalist.
He was the son of the historian Carl von Noorden.
At the age of 36 years Noorden got 1894 an employment at the urban hospital in Frankfurt, which he had until 1906. In the same year it accepted a Professur at the University of Vienna. Noorden taught there until 1913.
1914 it returned to the urban hospital to Frankfurt A.M. Possibly this change came off by Frankfurt mayors the Franz Adickes. Starting from 1930 Noorden changed again back to the urban hospitals in Vienna. There and worked he taught up to its death at 26 October 1944.
Also its brother Werner von Noorden became a physician. At the Bekanntheitsgrad of him it was not enough however near. The Bekanntheitsgrad and the aftereffect of Carl Harko of Noorden as the medical profession are clearly more largely as those its father than historians.
Noordens of scientific operating fields lay mainly in the research and treatment of metabolic diseases. Admits already became it by the development of a in the year 1902, which lowers the blood sugar mirror. This is used also today for the treatment of this illness.
