Cash Cow (English money cow) one calls in the marketing and management an established product, annually high, stable and thus calculable profits throws off ("“self runners"”).

The cash Cow must be promotet or developed further no longer but milked only. Usually with cash Cows the development of new products is financed.

This term is particularly used in BCG stencils. See also with product life cycle.
