UN/CEFACT nation Centre stands for for trade Facilitation and electronics Business, i.e. center of the United Nations for commercial easements and electronic business processes for United. The abbreviation CEFACT comes from the original French name Centre pour la facilitation the et the pratiques dans l' administration, le commerce et les transport, which can be translated into for instance with center for the easement of the procedures and practices into administration, trade and transport.

CEFACT was brought 1996 into being, is attached the UNECE and has like these its seat in Geneva.
