The charm nut (Hamamelis) is a kind of the family (Hamamelidaceae) with four kinds.
There is popular, growing ornamental shrubs. The kinds of charm nut grow slowly, are to be back-cut individually stand and as rarely as possible. They flower in the cold season, mostly between Decembers and February and belong thereby to the few kinds those during these winter months flower.
Two kinds are resident in North America H. virginiana and H. vernalis. The homeland of H. japonica is Japan and H. mollis originates from China.
H. virginiana is also a welfare plant.
