The chartered accoutant chamber (also WPK) is the agency of the chartered accoutants and swore in accountants in Germany. It is a body of the public right.

Tasks

• Examination of the existence and the maintenance of a complete occupation liability insurance protection
• Agency of the interests of the profession in relation to the public as well as the public work
• Training of the occupation new generation and execution of the occupation exam
• Guidance of the occupation register
• System of quality control, which is to guarantee that the practise of the profession is subject to the occupation member of regular, preventive control. Chartered accoutants and sworn in accountants must examine, if they accomplish legal final examinations, their practice every three years by another independent examiner of the occupation conditions (examiner for quality control) leave ("“Peer Review"”).
