Charles Marie Chassaignac (* 24 December 1805 in Paris; "† 26 August 1879 in Versailles) was a French surgeon. It attained a doctorate with a thesis over thigh neck breaks 1835 in Paris. Two years later he became a professor and pro sector at the faculty. He dressed then several offices, among them as a surgeon and as a vice-president of the anatomical society. 1857 were Chassaignac president of the surgical society and 1868 became it member of the medical academy.

After Chassaignac a symptom of the Subluxation (Chassaignac paralysis) and their Reposition (Chassignac handle) is designated.
