The chemical right is carried in the Federal Republic of Germany mainly by the laws and regulations specified down. Further, here in detail regulations mentioned, cover special ranges of application.

Future with REACh

Conversion to the national right

If the guidelines (European Union guideline), compiled on European Union level, are at present dependent on a conversion to the respective national right, then for quite some time a uniform chemical right is in form of an European Union regulation for the entire European Union range in work.

Extensive data procurement

The REACH system so planned thereby mentioned (Registration, evaluation and Authorisation OF chemicals) requires of the respective Inverkehrbringer (manufacturer, supplier etc.) that it is responsible for the security of its chemicals in so far that it procures the data necessary for the evaluation for it also.

Insufficient chemical security

Estimations mean that by that approx. 30,000 materials (old materials), which with more than one ton is annually produced so far only 140 sufficiently for their effect were examined. Besides the uses of the materials are usually not well-known in consumer goods because of the secrecy of prescriptions. Without appropriate duties to supply information in the creation of value chains the loads of health and environment are therefore not foreseeable. REACH is to bring improvements here, however because of the associated high costs is also strongly criticized. The height of the costs is however frequently exaggerated. A new study of the Federal Office for Environment Protection is to create clarity here.
