Chop VALUE is a term originating from the hacker scene. It designates the appreciation of a thing, not after its price or its use, but after their creativity and their originality. Often VALUE is the motivation meant, which brings a hacker to it, to invest much time into a thing which (for others) is apparently senseless, for which hackers however one chops represents with chops.

A special definition chop VALUE offers jargon the file of 1995 under "“display chop"” ': That chop VALUE of such diagram Hacks is proportionally to the beauty of the picture divided by the size of the necessary program code. Since the beauty is a subjective size, this regularity is not for computation chops VALUE naturally to use. Straight ones because of this irony are now and then used such pseudoscientific computations, in order to describe Hacks.
