Christiaan Neethling barn pool of broadcasting corporations (* 8 November 1922 in Beaufort west, South Africa; "† 2 September 2001 in Paphos, Cyprus) was a South African physician. It worked from 1958 to 1983 as a surgeon at the Groote Schuur hospital in Capetown.

On 3 December 1967 Christiaan barn pool of broadcasting corporations led the transplant ion team, to which for the first time a heart Transplantation succeeded. The patient, Louis Washkansky, in a five-hour operation in the Groote Schuur hospital in Capetown the heart of the Denise Darvall had an accident deadly at the age of 25 years with a car accident was transplanted. The operation was to that extent successful that Washkansky survived it. After 18 days it died however at a pneumonia as consequence of the repulsion reactions.

The second patient Philip remaining suppl. was operated on 2 January 1968 and lived 19 months with the transplanted heart.

An important member of Barnards team was also the black South African Hamilton Naki, which made substantial contributions for the development of the operation technology, which however due to the apartheid to be concealed had.

1983 had to give the surgeon its occupation up because of rheumatischer complaints.

In its vacation on Cyprus barn pool of broadcasting corporations succumbed 2001 to a respiratory arrest, which was released by an asthmatic accumulation.
