Christian Friedrich baron von Stockmar (* 22 August 1787 in Coburg; "† 9 July 1863 ebenda) was a German physician and statesman.

Stockmar was born from a Swedish family come with Gustav Adolf to Germany. It studied 1805-1810 medicine in attaining, established themselves on it in Koburg as a physician, served 1814 and 1815 as an army surgeon in the military hospitals on the Rhine, became 1816 body physician of the prince Leopold von Coburg, when this itself with the heiress to the throne of England, and remained from then on a most influential councellor and trusted friend of the same.

1821 he was raised in the aristocracy and 1831 into the Bavarian baron conditions. With the negotiations over the collection Leopolds on the Greek and then on the Belgian throne stood for Stockmar the prince to the side, it was its agent with the Londoner conferences, and during he him of the acceptance of the Greek crown advised against, promoted he his choice to king of Belgium.
