Christian (* 1957) is old America NIST and Ethnopharmakologe. On its field of activity, he is considered to the study of the ethnomedizinischen and ritual use of plants, in particular the cultural use of psychoaktiver plants in the shame anise mash, as one the researcher leading world-wide.

lived nearly three years long with the Lacandon Indians (a Maya people in Chiapas/Mexico) and wrote its thesis over their spells and swearing to formulas. Field research it operated besides in the Himalaya.

It published and is considered numerous books as in demand lecture speaker defiance of its provokanten Hippie well-behaved exterior (the South German newspaper called it "“enfant terrible"” the German Ethnologenszene) enjoys it in the professional world a high reputation. lives as a free author in Hamburg. It is married with the Kunsthistorikerin Claudia Mueller Ebeling, with which together it published also several books.
