Christoph Jacob Trew (* 26 April 1695 in run to the Pegnitz; "† 18 July 1769 in Nuremberg) was a German physician and Botaniker. Beyond its medical practice it accomplished medical basic research and taught at the university.

Special meaning comes to it by its journalistic activity: Trew created and cared for starting from 1731 one of the first medicine magazines at all, the weekly paper "„Commercium litterarium ad rei medicinae et scientiae naturalis "“.

As more academically "„a net worker "“Trew corresponded 15 years long for this magazine with professional colleagues in completely Europe.
