Christoph Schorer (* 2 December 1618 in Memmingen, " 12 February 1671 ebenda) was a German physician, poet and a Astrologe of the baroque time.
The multitalentierte Swabian physician was son of a lawyer. After graduation at the Memminger latin school it registered 1639 at the medical faculty in Strasbourg, where it contacted soon the members "of the sincere fir company ", above all Matthias Schneuber and Jesaias Rompler. Their language association aroused the interest in the cleaning of the German language in it from foreign words, which energized it 1643 for the publication of the often presented languagecrude.
