Circle president in Schleswig-Holstein the honorary chairman of the Kreistages is called.

This designation was introduced by the Schleswig Holsteini circle order from 1 April 1950. Since the introduction of circles due to the Prussian Annexion Schleswig-Holstein 1867 first (until 1945) the full-time land advice was also a chairman of the Kreistages. After the Second World War the administrative leader was called first director of circle and the honorary circle tag chairman was called "“land advice"”. With renaming the title of the administrative boss in land advice a new designation had to be found, evenly those of the circle president for the director/conductor of the agency body. In circle-free cities the chairman of the town councillor is called.
