Citizen chief is a local-political office in of Schleswig-Holstein office-free cities and municipalities. The citizen chief is selected by the local council and/or city agency from its center and leads the meetings of the agency. In addition it represents the municipality outward. Contrary to the mayor the citizen chief is honorary active. The circle president corresponds to it and in the circle-free cities Kiel, Luebeck, Flensburg and the city president in the circles.
