Structure and expansion of the enterprise

In the year 1886 the open commercial company developed "„for united physical-mechanical workshops cleaners, Gebbert & sound attaining, Stuttgart, New York (RGS) "“as union of the Erlanger workshop Erwin Moritz of cleaner and Stuttgart enterprise of max the Gebbert and a Karl Friedrich sound. The workshops in Stuttgart and New York were soon given up.

In the common enterprise cleaner had responsibility for the commercial interests, Gebbert for the production and sound for the construction and the selling. The company e.g. produced fine-mechanical, physical, optical and electricalmedical apparatuses like galvanometers, front, mouth and laryngeal lamps, batteries, medical induction apparatuses or Mikroskopierlampen. 1890 was added among other things arc lamps, engines and electrical lighting systems.

The company showed itself however soon as too small, in order to nourish three entrepreneurs. Therefore Karl sound separated in the year 1887 from the enterprise, in order to create with own capital in London a business, which took over the general agency of RGS for Great Britain and the colonies with large success.

1893 pulled those meanwhile approximately 100 workers and employees into a new factory building. Also the product range had itself extended, e.g. by lamps, dental drill presses and induction apparatuses as well as devices and electrodes for Galvanisation, Faradisation and Endoskopie.

Cleaner withdrew 1895 from the enterprise and could 100,000 RM compensation be disbursed. Thus it acquired the Bavarian lamp factory. Max Gebbert was now thereafter made for William Conrad Roentgen its revolutionary discovery of one "„new kind of jets however entrepreneur short "“. Gebbert reacted fast and ensured for the fact that itself already 1896 the production of RGS particularly on x-ray tubes and - concentrated apparatuses.

1906 were converted the enterprise into a corporation with 1.250.000 Marks capital stock. One year later died max of Gebbert.

From RGS to the Siemens cleaner works

After the First World War RGS came because of doubtful one of the members of the board into difficulties. After in November 1923 the conversion to pension Marks had taken place, the situation of the enterprise became still worse, than it had looked to times of inflation: The indebtedness amounted to 6 million Goldmark, paid interest on with 24%, with a share capital of 3 million Goldmark. As alternative to the bankruptcy the Zusammengehen with a similarly aligned enterprise offered itself. Here came the AEG or Siemens & Halske into Berlin into question. AEG did not show up interested, with Siemens & Halske began 1924 negotiations. At the beginning of of 1925 one agreed on the sales of the RGS shares to 200% to Siemens & Halske as well as the whereabouts of the medicine-technical production in attaining.

1932 became RGS, which renamed AG as well as the Siemens cleaner Veifa ltd. united and into "„Siemens cleaner works AG "“. The electricalmedical production the Siemens & Halske was shifted gradually after attaining.
