The combinationcombination combination (IV) is an interest agency of the Austrian industry. She understands herself both and Lobbyingorganisation on Austrian and European level, and as service organization for their about 2000 members. Beside the federal organization also nine regional committees exist in the respective Lands of the Federal Republic. Since 1988 the combinationcombination combination maintains also an office in Brussels and places also the Austrian representative in the European industrie and employers' association UNICE. The membership insists, contrary to the chambers, on freiwilliger basis.
As the oldest forerunner organization 1862 the association of the Industriellen, the agency of the large and heavy industry developed. In the year 1892 the cent ral federation of the Industriellen of Austria originated in to 1897, the federation of the Austrian Industriellen than agency of the small and medium-sized enterprises as agency of individual professional associations, a little later. These three associations united after the decay of the Danube monarchy for the realm federation of the Austrian industry, late federation of the industry of Austria. In the time of the the created federation of the Austrian Industriellen after the connection at Hitler Germany one left open.
After the IITH world war 1946 the reestablishment took place as combination of Austrian Industrieller. To 23. May 1996 took place the last change of name of the federation combination of the Austrian industry.
The house of the industry at the Schwarzenberg place in Vienna was together established to 1911 still by the three single federations, and opened by emperor Franz Joseph. After the IITH world war, which it got over without larger damage, the house became seat of the allied advice. In the year 1955 here the negotiations took place for the conclusion of the Austrian state contract. Since the departure of the allied ones the house is again seat of the combinationcombination combination.
