The commission industrial safety and standardization (KAN) unites the institutions relevant in Germany for the industrial safety since 1994.

It has the task to observe standardisation work and to emphasize the interests of the industrial safety in relation to the standardization. Their resolutions within the range of industrial safety and standardization have the character of recommendations and to place the consent of social partners, State of, accident insurance carriers (professional associations) and the German institute for standardization registered association.

It becomes of association the promotion of the industrial safety in Europe e.V (VFA) and of Federal Ministry for economics and work financed.
