The company target gives, after which decision rules the enterprise is to act.

Introduction

To the operational basic decisions within an enterprise the appointment of the company target belongs at one of the front places. These goals are usually determined by the founders and financial sources. The objective is subdivided in main goal, intermediate objectives and Unterziel.

The formal goal gain (main goal) - cost minimizing (Unterziel) - turnover maximization (Unterziel) - productivity (Unterziel) - economy (Unterziel)

Other formal-goal-market-Mach number-ability-safe of job property working climate image preservation of the environment

Real objective achievement production to the satisfaction of requirements (main goal) - manufacturing of certain products in certain application of qualities certain manufacturing method manufacturing of certain quantity

Arrangement possibilities

Vertical arrangement: The vertical arrangement in upper intermediate and Unterziele (partial goals) serves the ranking of the goals. Main goals are to be achieved by the goals subordinated in each case.

Horizontal arrangement: Organization of the goals into different categories

  • achievement-economically, e.g. Market shares
  • socially, e.g. Job creation
  • ecologically, e.g. Environmental protection
  • goods-economically, e.g. high quality level (see also: Goods, quality)
  • guidance-referred, e.g. good coworker guidance
  • financialeconomically, e.g. Profitability, liquidity, security, independence from backers

Beyond that there are also quantitative (in figures measured) company targets and qualitative company targets. Examples:

  • qualitatively: minimum resources consumption
  • quantitatively: Reach a market share of x per cent

Decision function - above all the possibility concerns of being able to weigh alternative measures against each other regarding its effectiveness and efficiency

Co-ordination function - goals are to be integrated been suitable partial activities and into a base factor, i.e. the goal of aligning. Different divisions can be coordinated by a common goal.

Motivation function - goals represent defaults and are the coworkers to motivate of fulfilling these goals. In connection with co-ordination function goals are to create an identification, produce a we feeling.

Information function - goals inform both the coworkers and the enterprise environment about the future activities.

Control function - goals create conditions for comparison of nominal and actual values and thus for control of success. Without objective control is not at all possible, because otherwise the comparison value is missing.

Authentication function - goals serve ever more than justification opposite outstanding ones. The relevant surrounding field of the enterprise affects therefore the goal formation.
