The federation of German safety engineers registered association (VDSI) is a professional association for industrial safety and environmental protection with seat into Wiesbaden.Das Organsiationsziel is similar the professional associations in the operational fire protection, precaution according to industrial medicine and industrial hygiene. Engineers, master, physicians, psychologists from the relevant ranges belong to the VDSI.

History

• 1951 took place the establishment as working group of safety engineers in king winters based.
• 1954 takes place renaming in association of German safety engineers (VDSI).
• Since 1977 the office in Wiesbaden exists.
• 1980 take place those the entry federation of the safety technicians and safety master (VSTM)
• After the German reunification many members from the working group industrial safety of the chamber of the technology of the former GDR occur the VDSI.
• 1993 effected however safety engineers German as a renaming into the federation and the operational health protection extends the objectives
• 1997 are included environmental protection as a goal and the VDSI create those the society for quality in the industrial safety ltd. (GQA).

Structure

The VDSI is distributed over completely Germany and subdivided themselves spatially, technically and organsiatorisch in:

• Office in Wiesbaden with executive committee and the advisory adviser.
• 30 groups of districts are country widely distributed and are to advise the members locally.
• Eight working groups are to work on the topics such as safety and health protection co-ordinator, working reliability regulation, fire and explosion prevention, specialists for industrial safety, dangerous materials, personal protection equipment, safety engineering, synergies in operational security as well as environmental protection actively.
• Filters the topic fields industrial hygiene, energy, universities and scientific institutions, air and space travel, public service, thermal waste treatment, outside services and time work work on specialized groups.
