COPAL (Cocoa Producers' Alliance) is an intergovernmental organization of the cocoa-producing countries with seat in Lagos, Nigeria. In the year 1962 the created trade association consists Dominican Republic of, the Ivory Coast, Gabon, Ghana, Malaysia, Nigeria, Sao and Principe as well as Togo of the countries Brazil. The community of these countries produces approximately 75 per cent of the cocoa harvest world-wide.
