A core business process is a procedure of an enterprise, which has to do directly with the acquisition of the enterprise.

Contrary to other business processes, like e.g. research, infrastructure, advertisement, etc. has a core business process less influence on the future direction of an enterprise, but serves more the momentary profit.

Closely with the term of core business processes the line work is connected, which marks constant, continuous work contrary to the work on the project.

Examples

  • Carpenter's workshop: Chairs carpenters
  • IT: Software development
  • Food production: Extension of the market shares in the Fingerfood sector
