Corporate Publishing (CP) as part of the public work is providing enterprise publications (coworker magazines as well as company magazines). They are thereby in direct competition to that available to acquiring magazines, so that enterprises must pay attention to qualitatively high-quality contents. The customers must a broad pallet to on journalistically prepared topics be ordered, which go beyond industry-specific information. Examples of Corporate Publishing are the member magazines General German Automobile Association and the health insurance companies.
In the branch federation approximately 70 CP-offerers made of Germany, Austria and Switzerland are united forum Corporate Publishing FCP. They offer services for all ranges of enterprise communication, from classical print products up to new electronic media. The forum is the largest combination of Corporate Publishing Dienstleistern in Europe. According to federation definition Corporate Publishing designates the uniform internal and external, prepared information transmission of an enterprise journalistic over all erdenklichen communication channels (off-line, on-line, mobile - only only magazines!), by which an enterprise with its different target groups communicates permanently/periodically. Beside final customers also coworkers, dealer, supplier, shareholders etc. are relevant target groups, which are supplied with the enterprise information interesting for them.
In industry circles Corporate Publishing a great importance is awarded with the care by marks. It is an important partial element in the context of integrated mark communication, also for internal mark guidance. This aspect is strongly neglected in the opinion of experts however so far in all industries. In the scientific view of the mark theory CP plays a role today as measured variable - whole in contrast to the classical advertisement - however still hardly. That is particularly because of the special meaning of Corporate Publishing in the entire communication-mixes. As long as other communication instruments are more strongly pronounced, it is understandable, if the science concentrates primarily on it.
Training: At the university Leipzig gives it a special training offer for enterprise journalism. Besides enterprises in Leipzig in co-operation with commercial far pictures (SAW offer - Saxonian academy for communication and marketing; CP-agency 4iMEDIA; IPW - Institut for postgratuale further training) new practice-oriented training ways (Volontariat/trainee program) on.
The first CP-study in the German-speaking countries the Swiss Public relation Institut as well as the Swiss text offer to academy since October 2005.
