The term cross clutch and/or English CROSS Docking designates modern goods logistics systems, which are aligned to it, the movement of goods costs and - last to reduce, temporary storage facilities to exclude and few ausgelastetete transportation to avoid. The idea standing behind it is the reorganisation of the Supply chains of the Markenartikelhersteller.
Goals
Possible goals of the CROSS Docking concepts:
- Branchfair dissolution of complete charges
- Avoidance of storekeeping in the distribution centers of the trade
- Sum of the resulting envelope processes and their variants is summarized under Crossdocking (Transhipment)
- Envelope without storekeeping
- Span of breaking open total loads in single items up to the" Kommissionieren "of the goods on basis of dispatch units
Possible CROSS Docking variants
- Single-step system: The suppliers pack and label (kommissionieren) the goods directly to the receiver referred - logistically the simpler solution - however altogether more - each supplier makes on the same day x different packages, for each receiver gets at the same time y different supplies. One usually finds single-step CROSS Docking within the consumer goods range.
- Two-stage system: All suppliers supply the CROSS docking POINT - speak the goods distribution center with only one collecting supply, there for each receiver from the supplier transmissions a customer package one ties, which is then delivered to the customer (or the next CROSS Docking POINT). Advantage for customers and supplier - only a supply on the day - however high requirements at the "CROSS Docking Provider" - feeder, carrier, logistics partner. Industrielle Dienstleister set normally the two-stage CROSS Docking in it are connected by the second envelope procedure with higher costs.
- Multi-level system: According to the two-stage system the CROSS Docking system can be further refined and supplemented. Particularly during the excess of the national borders it can be meaningful to switch additional stages on which take over then nevertheless again the function of temporary storage facilities, in addition, packing, labeling, price marking up to small assembly and equipping work.
