The Daihatsu Charade was a passenger car model of the Japanese manufacturer Daihatsu produced from 1978 to 2001. A characteristic of the Charade was that it was exactly between the class of the small cars and the compact cars positioned. The first generation of the Charade ran from 1978 to 1983 as drei-und diagonal tail sedan from the volume. Afterwards a clearly sharp-edged arranged successor followed. In the year 1988 the third generation of the Charade was presented, which was available as four-door notchback sedan now also. This model was produced by the company Xiali in China in the context of a Joint venture and is today there very successful until. The last model change took place in the year 1993. This series were replaced by in the meantime the paragraph numbers of the Charade sunk very strongly 1997 by the Sirion. Nevertheless to 2001 the Charademodelle was offered parallel for the Sirion.

In Great Britain since 2003 the Daihatsu Cuore is sold as Daihatsu Charade.
