The term daily rate has several meanings:

Costs, fees

Fee and/or cost-corrode for services, which over longer periods extend, e.g. for a software development, usually not after deferment of payment but after daily rates are measured. It concerns thus the price of a man-day, and/or person tags at services.

Fines

The fine is measured in Germany in daily rates. Is possible 5 to 360 daily rates, with the formation of a Gesamtstrafe of 720 daily rates. The height of the daily rate is measured after social conditions (an income, maintenance etc.) of the author and varied between and five thousand euro. Basis is that net incomes (see "ยง 40 StGB). If the fine cannot be brought in, then the spare imprisonment steps to its place. One day detention corresponds to a daily rate.
