Daniel Harold Casriel, called Dan Casriel (* 1. March 1924 in New York town center; "† 1983), were an US-American psychiatrist and analyst. He worked due to an order of the State of New York into the 1960er years with drug-dependent and developed the Bonding therapy.

It coined/shaped the term of the "“emotional lack company"”, with its consequences for humans: Isolation, despair, and Beziehungslosigkeit. Humans, who are held, looked at and belonged, who can die safe connections and develop trusting proximity to others, are loadable in crises and more resistantly in relation to illnesses, crazes or destructive anti-social behavior.
