Danmarks radio (DR) is the public broadcast in Denmark. Danmarks radio operates two television programs (DR1 and DR2). Besides there is the Danish television station TV 2, which is not radiated by Danmarks radio, nevertheless a great importance in Denmark has. DR1 and DR2 are to be received both both terrestrial and via cable. One sends on Danish. Once in the week a transmission on and on is radiated. For April 2006 are the programs DR1 to receive DR2 and TV 2 surface covering in Denmark over DVB-T (markets DTT under the name).
On the long wave frequency 243 kHz Danmarks radio with its program P1 is to be heard nearly all day. P3 and P4 are to be received on the medium wave 1062 kHz over the transmitter Kalundborg on sea-country. A foreign service on short wave for listeners abroad was stopped some years ago by DR. Besides the programs of the DR in the Internet can be pursued via NetRadio and NetTV.
Radio broadcasting programs
- P1: current information as well as messages of all kinds

Over the digital radio standard DAB some further special programs are almost Denmark far radiated. In addition occasionally a transmitter for motoring information was planned, which was however never taken in enterprise.
Television
- DR1: The first Danish television program, a full program similarly that first, shows also political discussions, football international matches of the Danish national team and meetings of the Folketing apart from messages, features and documentations.
- DR2: Second Danish public program with a rather cultural character.

The Danish broadcast has a market share of on the average 70% in Denmark. In Germany Danmarks radio is heard particularly by the Danish group of peoples in Schleswig-Holstein. The Danish broadcast is from the ratingses (almost 70%) one of the largest European broadcasting corporations. Its television radio house stands in 2860 in the proximity of the capital Copenhagen.
