Firm history

Danone was created 1919 in Barcelona von Isaac Carasso. The name Danone was the Diminutiv of the name of its son Daniel. During the Second World War the company headquarters was in New York, after end of war 1958 the company headquarters again to Paris was only shifted, where it this very day is. 1967 took place the union with Gervais. Danone is meanwhile second largest cookie and milk producer of the earth. They are involved in China in a mixing company. The growth rates of this participation are astronomical.

In the year 2005 Pepsi was brought as a prospective customer for Danone in the play. The French government reacted very verschnupft to it and threatened with verbal an economic war with the USA. An entrance did not come off until today. As possible prospective buyers however further Pepsi are considered or to Altria belonging US-American Kraft Foods company.
