David R. Hawkins (* 3 June 1927) is an US-American Mystiker, physician, a psychiatrist, a teacher and an author.
Hawkins worked as a psychiatrist and led a large psychiatric practice in New York town center. After the resignation of its clinical practice 1980 the Hawkins living in seven years long predominantly studied and consciousness. 1995 it published the book "the levels of consciousness ".
Hawkins' main objective is the promotion of in humans. According to its opinion mirror-image-ritual growth is the ultimative means to the Linderung of suffering in this world. He believes that humans on different consciousness levels live and truth in relation to these levels to be understood are.
Hawkins buildup in Wisconsin in the USA. Already as child and growing up he had unusual mirror-image-ritual experiences according to own data. It studied psychiatry to the Columbia University and was in 2. World war as sweepers in the employment. In its early working life it was convinced Atheist. After the recovery of alcoholism, which had brought him to the edge of death, it became again and strove around continued mirror-image-ritual consciousness development.
Until into the 70-iger years led it the North Nassau mentally Health center in one-hated, New York, then largest psychiatric practice in the country. With 38 years after own words "sudden illuminating" had happened to it. Afterwards clients from the whole world visited it, who had experienced from its unusual welfare abilities. it pulled 1979 after Sedona, Arizona, around itself as a settlers "in the silence mirror-image-ritually to perfect". After its reentry into the society it was from now on with mirror-image-ritual consciousness research, active with lectures and as an author. Its book "power vs. Force "was translated into so far 15 languages and stood in several countries on the best-seller lists. Hawkins got honors lent by different sides. In particular 2000 in Seoul the honour "Tae Ryoung Sun Kak Tosa" (large soul and prominent teacher on the way to illuminating) were lent to it. Beyond that it was already struck 1995 to the knight of the Johanniterordens.
Hawkins postulates that statements can be tested objectively on their truth content. He believes that this can be measured with the kinesiologischen muscle test. The test represents a bridge between the physical world and "universal consciousness" according to Hawkins. In the latter any past and present knowledge is contained. To be tested any substances, concepts, ideas, music, personalities, historical events etc. future can be able not to be tested are. The test reacts allegedly to whether the statement is true or not. The muscle "knows" only the following reaction: It can hold its situation (it "tests strongly ") or evenly not (it "tests weakly "). The test is limited thereby to yes/no statements.
Restrictions among other things:
Hawkins believes that apart from the simple yes/no answer the strength of the truth content can be measured by statements. For this Hawkins specified arbitrarily its own logarithmic scale of 1-1000. On this the range 1-199 is the "negative, life-unacceptable" range. The measured value of 200 represents a turning point, which is described with courage, truth, integrity. Everything with a measured value of 200 or over it is life favorable. The upper end of the scale (1000), represents the highest consciousness value/truth content attainable on ground connection.
Hawkins tries to represent the way of high mirror-image-ritual consciousness in its book "the allseeing eye" plausibly. The usual consciousness view of the reality differs radically from the one illuminated condition. The statements of the book deviate therefore strongly of the usually experienced one and obtain completely different aspect. Although it concerns straight in its book "the allseeing eye" exclusively Hawkins does not belong to a religion. Its representation is not coined/shaped by the aspect and the vocabulary of a certain religion. It uses its own vocabulary with partly words even invented for the representation.
