Deepak Chopra (* 1947 in again Delhi) is a popular contemporary author of books concerning alternative medicine and Ayurveda. It originates from India, lives however for a long time in California.

As a son of a prominent Kardiologen the native Indian studied medicine and became internalist and Endokrinologe. It always concerned itself in addition, with alternative welfare methods and leads at present a well-known health center in San Diego. Its medical understanding is strongly affected by its religion, the Hinduismus and in the special one by the Veden and the Bhagavad Gita.

Its numerous health and life assistance books reach world-wide million-editions. Its works were translated so far into at least 25 languages.

Chopra received the industrial union-Nobelpreis for physics to 1998.
