The DeGEval - society for evaluation registered association (until 2005: German society for evaluation registered association) was created 1997 in Braunschweig. It is a union of persons and institutions, who are active in the range of the evaluation. She pursues the Professionalisierung of evaluation, the unification of different perspectives of the evaluation as well as information and exchange over evaluation.

At present the DeGEval has over 400 personal members and over 60 institutional members (conditions 2/2006). The personal members come from economics and sociological research establishments, universities, management consultations and political counselling enterprises as well as Ministries, administrations and department research establishments. All relevant disciplines and Professionen of the evaluation are represented.
